The Hikers’ bus pass is ideal for those who intend to hike in the Laugavegur trekking trail or other hiking trails in this area with different start and end point.  The pass guaranties a single transfer from Reykjavík to your starting point (at Landmannalaugar, Rjúpnavellir, Þórsmörk or Skógar) and back to Reykjavík again (from Landmannalaugar, Rjúpnavellir, Þórsmörk or Skógar). You can take all the time you need for the hike, provided it falls within the passport’s time frame 15/6 – 24/9 2017.  The bus pass is valid for one transfer from Reykjavík to your hike starting point and back to Reykjavík again. You must book your seat from Reykjavík but not back from the Highlands – you just hop on the bus when you are ready to go back to the city. Pls. note that the bus to and from Skógar is operated by a firm called Sterna. You can take the Sterna  bus from Harpa consert hall (between 08:00-08:30) to Skógar. Please let us know by phone or email if you plan to start your hike from Skógar.  From Skógar campsite (Sterna bus at 15:10) to Reykjavík and the Highland bus from Þórsmörk (14:30) to Reykjavík (18:00).

There are three marked hiking trails in this area. You can also combine them into one extended hike.

On day  one hike from Rjúpnavellir to Áfangagil 17 km. Walking time about 7 hours. Day two – from Áfangagil to Landmannahellir 22 km. Walking time about 8 hours and on day three from Landmannahellir ot Landmannalaugar 17 km.
