Þórsmörk – an oasis of natural birch woods with the imposing Eyjafjalla- and Mýrdalsjökull glaciers in its back garden. The valleys of Þórsmörk, Langidalur and Básar, are very popular for hiking and camping trips – not least among the locals.

Landmannalaugar is a unique area in southern section of Iceland’s highlands. It displays a number of unusual geological elements, like the multicolored rhyolite mountains and expansive lava fields.
